Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! (Psalm 150)
The Music Ministry of Summit Woods Baptist Church has at its core the desire to magnify God by making disciples of Christ through singing, playing of instrument, and the reading of God's Word. Therefore, the music chosen for worship is doctrinally sound, theologically rich, Christ exalting, and Cross centered. You can find more information regarding the music at Summit Woods in our Philosophy of Music in our Corporate Gatherings.
The Sanctuary Choir provides support for our worship services and many other special services throughout the year. There are many opportunities for growth, fellowship, and praise as this group is open to anyone who would like to be involved. Choir meets for rehearsal on Wednesday evenings at 5:30 pm and provides guidance in the worship services on Sunday mornings at 10:30am.
The Instrumental Worship Team is comprised of guitars, keyboards, percussion, and assorted string and orchestra instruments. If interested in participating in the instrumental ensemble please see the application and guidelines in our Music Ministry Application. The Music Ministry Application also contains information for instrumentalists and vocalists interested in presenting special music in the worship services. If you would like to be involved in the Music Ministry at Summit Woods please contact Dawson Bryant, and he would be happy to discuss the possibility of using your gifts to serve the church.
SWBC on Spotify
In order to better faciliate a biblical mindset for corporate worship, and our congregations' confidence in the songs we sing; we've created a Spotify playlist of the songs that comprise our Sunday gathering songlist. More information can be found on the resource section of the site.
