Full Throttle Men’s Ministry

throttleIt is a given that men are achievers; they pursue and accomplish their goals in life. The question for the man of God is, Are they the right goals? The purpose of the Full Throttle Men’s Ministry at Summit Woods is to help men understand the right goals as identified in God’s Word and to accomplish them for God’s glory. This begins with a man’s personal journey with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is a journey that guides the man of God in his home, church, workplace, community and world. This is best expressed in Colossians 1:28: ‘…that we may present every man complete in Christ.’

Welcome to Full Throttle Men’s Ministry

VanSickleA note from Dan VanSickle, leader of our men’s ministry: We call ourselves Full Throttle because we are serious about our relationship with the Lord and our fellow brothers in our men’s group. We want to go full throttle ahead in being the husbands, fathers, grandfathers and leaders in our families and in our church. We believe the Bible, for it is the perfect word of God. Proverbs 27:17 says, ‘Iron sharpens iron as one man sharpens another,’ and we do that twice weekly when we meet together to read His Word, share our experiences, enourage each other and pray for one another. We also love serving together by putting on roofs, cleaning up yards, landscaping, painting, moving and doing anything we can to help those in need (see James 1:27). We have teams of men going out every Monday night to visit those who have visited our church, are sick or have asked to be prayed for. We have teams that go to festivals, concerts and bus stations to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. We invite all men to join us and be part of a great group of guys who love the Lord, love each other and have a great time learning to be more like Him.
