Helping and Healing Ministry
The Summit Woods Helping & Healing Ministry will begin on Sunday night, September 27th, and will continue every Sunday night from 6:00 to 7:30pm through mid-December. We are offering the following support groups:
- Making Peace With Your Past – This is a study and support group for adult children of dysfunctional families. We will be offering a womens only group for this semester. Books are $15.00 and will be available the first night of the study.
- Moving Beyond Your Past – This study is the follow-up study to Making Peace With Your Past and is designed to support those working toward healing after growing up in dysfunctional pasts. We will have a womens and mens group available for this study. Books are $15.00 and will be available the first night of study.
- Griefshare – This is a support/learning community for those who have experienced all kinds of losses. This group will cover stages of grief, coping with loss, spiritual questions of tragedy and other issues that are part of the grieving process. Member books that go along with the video lessons are available but not mandatory. Support, discussion and share time will be incorporated in our time together.
