2012 Men’s Ministry
Men make plans now to kick off the New Year with a renewed focus on growing as a man after God’s own heart. In 2012 we want to build men as leaders in their homes, here at church, and in our community. Consider becoming more involved in our ministry to men this next year. Here are a few opportunities coming up very soon:
January 4 (Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.) and 6 (Friday, 6:30 a.m.) – Men’s Bible Studies for the New Year – studying 1 Corinthians together.
January 7, 2012, 8:00 a.m. Men’s Breakfast, featuring Pastor Dave Hintz from Flint Hills Christian Church, Emporia, KS. Dave will be speaking and highlighting an upcoming men’s conference in January. To sign up to attend, e-mail Dan Vansickle, sign up at either the Wednesday or Friday Bible studies or see the Men’s Ministry table in the church foyer.
January 21 (Saturday), 7:00 a.m. Leadership Summit. We will begin a twice-monthly meeting of men who are serious about becoming equipped to be leaders in the church. We will focus on how to study and communicate Scripture as well as building lives of accountability, prayer, and fellowship. These meetings will include existing leaders as well as potential future leaders, and are open to any of the men in our church who wish to commit to actively participating. Look for more information on these meetings in the near future.
January 28 (Saturday), 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 2012 Ironmen Summit in Emporia, KS. Join us for a men’s conference that seeks to “scale the peaks of Scripture to gain a biblical view for masculinity.” We will be arranging carpool transportation and can help you to register for the conference.
